Whats the difference in these two crossmembers? One came from a Granada, the other was with the Maverick I bought from Clint. Are they both Granada? Or are they interchangable? By the way, the one with the two extra small holes I know is from a Granada, There was part of the E brake bolted there....

Looks like you discovered (or re-discovered) a new interchangeable part. Good info.

I have seen Mavericks with the e-brake cable bolted to the crossmember.

Granada was a 351W with a C4, 1977 model, 4 door. Car was all original, the guy I bought it from's mother had bought it new, his 16 year old son totaled it. I bought it for the motor to go in my pickup, saved the tranny in the carport, put the old car out in the woods behind the house. After I bought my Comet, I pulled the disc brake setup to use on it, and threw the crossmember in the Comet and had forgot about it untill today. Today I was doing a little work getting ready for the engine transplant into the Mav and decided to compare the crossmembers.

Looks like the "rare" double hump crossmember may not be as rare as we thought if other Granadas have the same one...

I would say a V-8 Granada is just as rare as a V-8 Maverick.

Considering their age, yeah they are getting scarce. But I have never seen a Granada with a 6 around here, they were all 8's. Maybe just a regional thing, or maybe the 6's were already parted out, don't know....
