What's up everyone. I live in the Raleigh, NC area and my first car at age 16 was a 1970 Maverick. I purchased it for $500 and it had only 70K original miles on it in 1991 when I picked it up. I sold it for $900 believe it or not in 1994. It was a Gold, hence my username. She was a 2 door coupe with the 250 I6 and a Auto tranny with bench seats. Now that I am 28 years old and can afford to have a toy, I would like to find a 1970 or 72 Maverick that is in good shape. If anyone has one to sell I would love to hear from you. I would even be willing to setup the shipping. I would love a Grabber, but I won't be picky. My ultimate goal is to drop a 302 in the bay and totally restomod it. I'm not in to the whole drag racer deal, just looking to set my ride up like MaverickMan's. (www.maverickman.com). His light blue ride with the carbon hood is SWEET. The style he went with on his light blue Mav is something I would like to achieve. So if anyone has a 70-27 Mav for sale, shoot me an email at ewplatz@bellsouth.net. If you have pic's send those also. GoldenNugget Eric
eric, hi , welcome to the board...frank... p.s. my user name has nothing to do with the color of my car. as a matter of fact, gold is about the only color that ain't on my car.
You can have a cop run the V.I.N. if you still have it and find out if, or to who it is registered to now. Thats how I found out where my dad's old Comet is at.
