My 74 Maverick has beauty rings and a center cab. One of the center cabs does not want to stay on. Can anybody give me some Idea as to why?? Dean

[IMG]I think I solved the problem by taking a rubber hammer and going around the edge of the center peice to try and tighten the lib. Let me know what you think. I would hate to lose a center peice.

Dean,, it could be a slightly bent hubcap or a buildup of paint on the wheel. I think you have solved it by using a rubber mallet. If it sounds solid when you strike it, then it is probably on good. Then again,,, I have lost a few hubcaps in my lifetime.

Make sure that you don't have a different wheel that you are trying to
put it on. Maybe someone dented one in the past and replaced it with
    a donor from a junker.

Well just took a little drive and the hub stayed on. The hammer must have done the job. Dean
