well... after a couple years of neglect its definently time to start loving my GT again. The Army has taken up a serious amount of my time, but coming this August thats gonna change. So now I get to start planning her next rebuild. Here are some current pics. It kinda brings a tear to my ear. Oh, and this is of our "new to us" car trailer. And Im not sure if Ive ever posted pics of my Mustang, so here that is too. Its the only one I have... its been a few seasons since we've gone racing... again, Army time contraints.
Glad you're going to get back in to it again, hopefully it won't take much to bring it up to speed, stay safe and try to come to some events.
dosen't look like it would take too much to get it back in to shape. good luck with it and enjoy the enclosed trailer.
Rusty- Is that dead paint? I have seen pics of your car before and it looked to be freshly painted. Mine sat under a car cover and tarp for the first half of the 10 yrs. that it sat. I honestly believe, except for SOME sun fading, that covers outdoors are worse than no cover. Good luck restoring your Comet. Seth
yeah, that paint is ruined. the car cover definently didnt help with the process. it wore the paint off the top and the corners all around it. I think the paint from the plastic hood scoop started to go bad first. yeah, the car cover outside was not a good idea. oh well, live and learn. it kept the sun off the interior while I was gone, so thats good. other than that, it also kept eyes off of it while it sat out back. I probably wont ever cover it ever again, once it looks good again. oh, and the reason the trailer isnt being used is because we are putting in a winch and working on the interior. here are some pics.
