My son is planning on taking out the 6cyl 250 out of his 1976 Maverick and wants to put in a 302 V8.

Where can we find headers for this size engine and year Maverick? What is a fair price to pay?

I just bought a set of Headman headders $169.99 and everybody that has installed them tells me they fit perfect. I havent installed them yet so i can't tell you for sure. Just look up headman headers for a Maverick,i think the part number is 3300.Derek

Hooker 6901 is also a good header for these cars. Places like Summit and Jegs will probably be the cheapest places to get them.

Derek, have you put your heddmans in yet? do a search and youll find a post with pics of my headman clearance probs. the tube from cyl 6 is too far forward. even with the drop bracket, i had to mod the bracket and BFH the header to clear. course manual steering would be fine. also my kick down hits the header and i have factory floor shift, if you have column plan on making a shift rod or moving the shifter.

i've got the hooker 6901's in mine. no p/s. have no problems at all. took the passenger side out last week, no problem. only thing i have to do for the drivers side is pull the motor mount bolt and jack the drivers side of the engine up a few inches. i got the coated ones. i'm happy with them. got them from summit.:)
