in a 71 comet, my passenger window wont roll down properly. It appears (from what I can feel) that a bolt that is supposed to hold the window to the track is missing. Could be a rivet, maybe? Anywho... as it is right now, the piece that holds up the window is popping through the top between the window and the door to hold up the window. When I roll the window down (I presume because the piece is wedged against the rear end of the window) only the front comes down. Is a nut and bolt all I am going to need, or is there something that should be keeping the piece attatched to the window from popping up as well?

The panel is off... my buddy just called me to let me know we have a "bolt in a plastic tube" rig ready to go. I was mostly concerned if there was anything else with the window that I might have to worry about...

What panel, the door panel? If so, you can easily go buy what ever material you like, and glue it to almost any 1/4 plywood or masonite type material from a Home Depot. Door panels are easy to make.

Well you know how it is, fix one thing and you find something else that needs fixing... now that the window is fixed, I find 2 new problems. 1, the panel to go back over it is missing all of the pins to stick it back on (passenger's side) and the drivers side panel apparently got too much exposure to light or something, cause the material covering the wood has shrunk and now come off of the panel itself in the middle of the top side. I'm doing a slow but steady restore so I'm trying to go as original looking as possible. At least, all original for anything you can see.
