do your car the way YOU want!if you have to change the color of your car to impress the ladies or friends, she aint no lady, and they're not your friends!!sounds like your loyalty to your mav isn't too good,if your even considering this!
if you want to be like everyone else go get a porshe, land rover, bmw, etc.being different is what being a maverick is all about... being different!

    MAVAHOLIC,
that is legal here too.... for those who need it.

    Windansea,
The wifey was a very chased young lady fresh from LA when i met her and i was driving a nasty looking mustard yellow four door mav at the time and my other car was a fairly mangled vw. she chose me over the guys with brand new sports cars and beemers from their parents (i lived in a ritzy neighborhood). Like the others said, if your looking for a keeper, dont worry about your car. If you dont like how it looks, go the member galleries and look for ideas.

as far as color goes, ck out the members rides and then pic a color.. I like the bronze idea personally.. there was a bronze Mav at 04 round-up .. it was a HAUN car from Somerset I think..:2cents:

Well, if your Maverick looks like a piece of junk, then of course no woman with any class is gonna be impressed by it, but if it's clean, has nice paint, interior, and doesn't smoke, if she's smart, she will appreciate it, if not, she's a bimbo who's not worth your time...

HIGH MAINTAINENCE chicks aren't worth the time, or the effort, you'll spend too much money on them, money that could be more effectively used to put 500 or so horses to your rear tires.

Do what you like, do what makes you happy. Driving a certain type of car to impress the ladies will only attract the ones that are interested in your wallet size, not you or your companionship. They may be fun for a few dates, but that doesn't go on forever.

Depends on what you're looking for.

A nice flakey silver might be allright, is it dark brown or lighter interior??

I think black exterior would look GREAT with a brown or tan interior.

But who gives a sh!t what anyone thinks about your car? I live in an area just north of Atlanta thats a pretty upper class area. It's a given that there are many snobby kids around here in their BMW or Lexus that daddy bought them. The neighborhood next to mine is called Richland, so that should tell you something. My '74 Grabber that I drove for 7 months looked VERY out of place among the Lexus, BMW's, Hummers, you name it, that most people around here drive. Especially at school. I honestly didn't give a rats ass what anyone thought about that car. Most of my friends liked the car alot because it was diffrent and wasn't just some other run of the mill fancy high dollar car. If your friends are that ignorant and narrow minded that they put you down because of what you drive, I would be finding some diffrent people to hang around. Dennis said it best. If I hadn't wrecked that Grabber, I'd still be driving it around right now, even over the red one I currently have. If the car makes you happy, who gives a crap what anyone else thinks. Most girls I know liked rideing in the Grabber, and love rideing in my current red Maverick.

If someone didn't like me because of the car I drive, I'd tell 'em to get lost.

TL...who says that no woman will be impressed by a maverick that looks like junk...?

My mother LOVES to ride with me...something about the a$$ end sliding around turns and getting airborne over railroad tracks.

My grandmother HATES to ride with me, even though she originally thought it would be cool, being an old convertible mustang owner...something about the a$$ end sliding around turns and getting airborne over railroad tracks...and getting home alive.

My wife loves to ride in the maverick, and her friends all wish they had a chance to do so.

And, I consider my mav to be one of the UGLIEST out there (even compared to that Texas roadside sign) until you lift the hood :D

Even an ugly Maverick is sexy :yup:

You don't live in Hazard County, do you? Oh, and your Maverick is not the ugliest I've ever seen. Just needs a little TLC. Removing the sidepipes was a huge improvment by itself. Now all you need is a chain steering wheel like me...(y)

I'm pretty sure the blue '70 I posted a pic of in my "Score!" thread is the uglyest Maverick to be posted on this site. :) Just be glad I didn't post a pic of the interior! It was REAL bad. You could probably catch multiple diseases just breathing the air inside that thing! Made me feel sick to my stomach just opening the door to check the codes and VIN. That car had to have been at the bottom of a lake or something. I'll probably have nightmares for months after seeing the interior of that car. :49: Got nice valance panels though. :)
