This board is great, but it needs a forced induction section. How many of you are running turbos on your Mavericks/Comets? I'm doing a system on a 74 302 Maverick with a Holset HX35.

Soon as Mavman gets off work, he will probably post some reply's. He did sell his 74 a while back without the turbo and related parts. Fellow up in the northwest, purcahsed it and was really impressed with the setup.

A 302 with ONLY an HX35W? Jeez... I had a HY35W on my 2.3 4 banger, and it was just about right in terms of sizing. Maybe just a little on the "big" side, but it worked great for street bruising.

An HX35W on a 302 will make good bottom end, but will probably sign off by 4500 RPM. I'd be looking for something a little bigger...maybe even an HX40 or HX50. The 50 might be a tad big (lots of lag, but learn how to drive "around" the lag and it'd be awesome).

But to answer your original question, I'm currently not working on a turbo project, but I HAVE done it in the past. Twice. Once on a Maverick with a 302 and once with my old SVO. Both were fun...both were a pain in the neck.

Its in the plans.... just a HX35 till the T70. I've got a goal of 500hp. I only need fuel and an intercooler, yummy!! Anyone running a sumped fuel tank or a fuel cell in the stock place??
