    I am installing a mechanical temperature gauge on my 1977 Maverick and I was wondering where exactly the probe goes on the block.

    what engine? usually on a 302 it goes in the intake manifold.

    if you look in the member galleries at my engine from the front view, you can see where the temp probe for mine is next to the dizzy on the driver side. hope that helps(y)

    I've had a few
    Need to know what engine. On a straight 6 it screws into the back of the head on the drivers side.

    drivers side on the top front of the intake manifold on a 302. and a 6 is just like jamie said

    Forgot the engone size it is a 250. It was right where you said it would be behind the header. Thanks for the help. Got it hokked up and it works great.
