My computer has been down awhile and am on the gf's. I've been looking for some engine bay shots of mavs or comets without inner fenders. So, if anyone is board and wants to help out post up some pics or email them to me at william.laughlin@tstc.net

Aha!!! I have finally found your pictures mavman. I have a question for you, did you do anything to support the fenders on your car?? I'm debating whether or not to cut the fenders out of the car to make the turbo kit easier to put in. I know it would free up a lot of room but the downside is rainy days, the extra wiring for efi that I'd have to hide or attempt to hide

Hmmm... You could do like me and not drive it in the rain. Non rainy weekends for me. If you can, post some pics dude. Get some before and after too, even if you don't post them. Looking back into memories can be fun.

You do know that you can't just cut out the inner fenders with the stock front suspension....right? You'd have to devise a way to relocate the springs & shocks, along with the upper a-arms. I'm assuming you already have that part covered.

When I did my turbo WAYYY back when (budget turbo set up) the hardest part was routing the exhaust. One side was half of a 88400 shorty, the other side was a home-made log. Only the towers were in the way. Once those are gone, you'll be surprised how much room there really is. If I was going to do another one (which I might do some day) I'll cut the towers away, install a Mustang 2 IFS and just fill in the holes where the towers were. There'll be plenty of room, even for a 460. But, on my Maverick I have now (drag car only) I just removed the inner fenders. Less weight, easier to work on...headers exit over the frame rails and I can have the headers off in less than 5 minutes in case I need to do some work...which seems to be waaay too often.

Well, a M2 is in the works. I've got all aftermarket parts minus the stock control arms. I was just going to flip my bbk headers and weld on some vband flanges. My main question was if I would have enough room with the downpipe and intercooler piping
