Hello, My name is Adam. I scored my maverick about 2 months ago for $500. Since I have had it I replaced the radiator and fixed a gas leak...the only downside on this car is that the previous owner got backed into by a truck and it really done a number on the drivers side door. I am the fourth owner of this maverick, but I came across the original documentation (including the owners manual and warranty information) and to my surpise this car was bought brand new in my hometown in 1970.
what part of the door? if it is far enough back you can reach it from behind the inside panel and hammer it out pretty decent.

i allreay hammered it out as best i can...at least enough to roll down the glass....which surprisingly wasnt broken...but the sheet metal is creased...luckily i know a guy that has a bunch of comet and maverick parts
