A big "Thanks" goes out to Ed (fan2488) for fabbing the plates and welding
up the Shock Tower tabs and end plates! (y)

The big Upper EFI Intake required a little thought to get around but turned
out not to be a big issue. We also had to go over the cold air tube with the
Monte Carlo Bar - no prob.

I bought the Heims rod ends and the 5/8" Swage Tubes (center part of
    'turnbuckle') from Smiley's Racing.

I decided to use Grade 5 1/2" bolting throughout. I initially wanted Grade 8
but the rod ends are Grade 5 anyway. The rod ends use 1/2" bolting
(eyelet) and the threads are 5/8". I also swapped out the stock bolts
(where the Monte Carlo Bar attaches to the inside rail) with 1/2" bolts and
added a third one to help reinforce the bar's mount. I wanted the
Monte Carlo bar to be straight (no bend around the distributor) so that
brought on another change from "the norm". I have no a/c to get in the
way so a straight shot was possible.

    Without further ado:

How did I miss this when you first posted?

I see you moved the entire front bar forward a couple of inches to clear everything.

Ed, good job with being "flexible" with your design. Can't get that kind of customer support anywhere!

Looks good!! It barely clears the intake. I guess power brakes are out of the question when you have that intake.

Ed, now that i look back at the pics, it IS a completely different design. I did notice that he hiemed it straight to the firewall lip, but just now noticed the elaborate shock tower mount.

Good job on getting around all of Rick's obstacles.
