After months of research into stall converters and talking to mustang owners and other ford racers locally and around the country via message boards, I finally decided on the Edge Racing Converters' Street Edge at 3,000 stall.

The mustang folks at www.corral.net and www.stlmustangs.com were a real help in my decision. In the long run, it was worth it to spend the near $500 on a converter that will last a long time and be trouble free. Also, I found out that if I decide I would like to go up to a 3,400 stall in the future, Edge will refurbrish my converter and re-warranty it for only $80, pretty darn cool.

When I spoke to Andre at Edge he mentioned he had spoken to a few maverick and comet owners this year, I wonder if any of you also have an Edge converter?

Anyways, if you guys want to check them out they're at http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/ and the customer service is exceptional, I can't wait to try this bad boy out.

I've always been told that if you want to buy a converter and it last a LONG time under ALOT of power that you would spend no less than $750. I've never had any experience with edge but my ATI was on sale for $800. So, if it lasts a LONG time, and does what it should, I guess you got a good deal!!(y) Let us know how it performs!

I sent messages back and fourth with those folks a while back when I was thinking about a new converter. I ended up not getting a new one, but I did in the process decide that when I do, it will be from them. I was quite impressed with their communication.
