Flipped the engine over on the stand and removed the oil pan, gave it a spin and noticed the gear drive is rubbing on the side of the timing cover  ! Has anyone else experienced this ? I shaved the appropriate spot on the front of the cover but I didn't know the side needed shaved too.

I bought this one on E-Bay at a significant discount over the Pete Jackson. :slap: Guess you get what you pay for !! I'm going to pull it apart and double check the installation again. I used a 302 timing cover, but the 351w and 302 are the same aren't they :hmmm: ?? I've got alot of room on the other side, hopefully I've got it installed backwards ! If not I guess I'll go true roller and chalk this up to education !!!
