ummm how about 351w w/turbo, the 250 would probably be alot easier and fun to drive, the 351w would be harder and be gruntier. i voted for the 351w only because i've owned a few cars with a windsor in them. i'm addicted to the windsor

I like the idea of a 250 with a turbo! If you do it, let me know, I always wanted to that to my Mav with the 250 in it but never knew it was possible. But, after spending time in here, I'm finding you can do a lot of things to the Maverick & Comet if you put your mind to it!(y)

    Check out fordsix.com. There's a guy there with close to 285rwhp 250 inline doing 103 in the 1/4 with a turbo blowing through a 1bbl !!
Another guys wife is running 350 rwhp in a 250 inline Falcon with a best time of 11.85 @ 110mph blowing through a 350cfm 2bbl !! Really neat stuff.

That is where I learned all about six banger performance. You should buy the performance book from that site. I have it and it is very good.

I had Ray and Frank agreeing with me on one thread. :yikes: I need to find a bomb shelter and hide because something bad is about to happen.:hide:

WOW! That is sooo Cool! I will definitely be looking into that for the '68 Falcon I'm getting with the 250 I6(Identical to my old Maverick)(y) That sounds great. I just registered on that site. I can't wait to sell my car! :29: It only has one more day to go, and my reserve was met, so I got my down payment, and the car is right across town!:drive: :drive:

I know you didnt list it as one of your options ...But if I were building the clone car it would have to be A 351 cleveland :) Thats what the original had :) and it would be sooo cool if your clone had one !

Cut back the towers, Use Tubular automotive headers part number :

    ES7 (With 2 bl heads ) 1 3/4" tubes.

    ES7A (With 4 bl heads ) 1 7/8 " tubes.

They are available from Mustangs Unlimited.

You can build it mild with a choppy cam ( comp 270h )

and a c-4 and not only will it be a blast to drive , but at car shows it will wow the crowds even more with a cleveland in it.(y) :29: :yippee:

How many do you want and how much are you willing to pay - :tiphat:

I know of at least 4 in my "secret spot" - all 2 bbls - which is a better street head anyway. All of them are currently residing in Mustangs at the bone yard I frequent.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
V8's have been done.. they are a dime a dozen.. nothing really impress me anymore unless is some turbo charged non-NA motor... even then, its been done already.

you wanna be differant build a 6 and you'll see way more "wow" factor over any v8. how many i6 can you say have been done already. i can think of about 5 and they are probably the same ones you know about. again way more "wow' factor then any 8

$ for $ lets be honest everything cost money.. after awhile do you really keep tract?

when my i6 dies (which will probably be never!) it's going argie head with turbo no if ands or butts.
