On the Comet parts car I got, it has chrome molding that run along the top body lines. It's held on by little posts on the body. Q1. Can these be added to another car? Are they welded on? Also it has molding along the rockers. It has plastic "clips" that the strip snaps into. Any idea on how these and held onto the car? I'd like to use all of the molding on my Mav if I can find an easy(cheep) way to make it work. Thanks

Those posts are welded on from the factory. There are screw on versions available. I've seen them. Probably available from any place that carries a good source of molding clips.

I think Eastwood sells a special gun to weld on those "studs".

Those bottom clips should be pop rivited on. The ones I removed have been.

Do you think 3M adhesive molding tape would hold them on?

    I wouldn't trust it.

You could also pop rivit the clips on instead of replicating the welds.
