That was a trick from the days before aftermarket Windsor heads were all over the place. The cleveland heads flow a ton, perhaps too much for most applications.

I think in 2003 you are far better off buying aftermarket windsor heads.

I also agree with max power, NASCAR uses a head that is some what like the Cleveland head but with a much improved flow system. If you have the money go with AFR 185's they are a sweet set of heads.

I've done the 351C head on 302.. I can tell you from experience, unless you like the novelty of it, it is cheaper and you get better performance from aftermarket heads.. or even well massaged 351W heads.. The adaptor plates are ok, but an intake is beter.. The intakes run about $450, The pistons, intake and head gaskets are special as well.. If you really want to go ahead with it, Contact Bush Performance.. They have everything you need, and use Austrailian 351C heads.. For the cost of all the special parts and machine work, you can get edelbrock for twisted wedge heads and make more power with better RPM range..

EDIT: I almost forgot about headers.. In the tight compartment of a Mav. you can pretty much forget about them with a 351w based engine.. Infact even for early mustangs there is only one cmpany that makes headers for this bastard child.. and thats Tubular Automotive..
