I spotted a 74 Comet at the junkyard and it looks to be in excellent shape, but unfortunately they will not let me buy the car . They should move it into the stripping field on tuesday probably. So are their any part request, oh and keep in mind that it's a 4 door. No sport mirrors (or i would take them lol) and I really doubt it has bucket seats. Umm... but the car does look really nice so I will most likely take everything I can since I cant salvage the whole car. Oh and for the sake of forum rules, the parts are in Bradenton, Fl. I would be able to ship anything, (except the engine which i dont know what it is.) I don't really want to put out a price because it could change when I see it, but let's just say that I will ship anyway and shape possible and that the rear tail lights are in perfect condition. No GT hood of course, so moderators is it alright if I don't list prices/parts for a day or so until I see what's good?

Man, it sucks when they won't sell you the whole car don't it? I know where there is a Sprint in a yard and they insist on sending it to the crusher. :(

If the hood is perfect as in no rust or dents, let me know the price. If you can hang on to it till Jan, I can pick it up.

Well I went there today, and it looked like a tornado hit it, or they were just trying to play Dukes of Hazzard with the car. It has a blue interior, so Tom tell me what you need and I'll go back and get it for you, the door panels aren't that great so I doubt you'll want them, same as the dash pad. The only real good interior is the guage cluster and just about everything around it and the door to the glove box. The body was is not worth trying to fix, the doors all have tons of rust and huge rust holes. The hood is no good, someone put cement on the front to make it "look" better I guess. The only thing that I salvaged from the car are the front disc brakes which I'm keeping, and the interior, the rest was rotted to another extreme. The back panel and the quaters were in good shape, but would be a pain to take them off, but I guess it's better than sending those parts to the crusher, so email me at htr701@gmail.com if you would like any parts. But I did get a hold of some Maverick fenders that are virtually (primered) ready for paint and will be selling those in couple of weeks, which I don't really know how much they're worth. I got them from a neighbor of mine that had them in his garage for several years and am currently in the process of cleaning them up to make it easier for you guys that need them. Thanks

I was kinda waiting to see if you were going to list out any of the parts with prices, cause right now this post doesn't fit into the classified section. I'm moving it into the general threads, maybe it will generate a bigger response for requests from this car and then you can list the parts with prices in the FOR SALE section when you have them.

    Good luck, Eric

That probably would be better, I just didn't think it would take so long to get some of these parts. I do however want to post the fenders as 200each obo and I am currently primering them, but I will not be able to finish them up for a week or so. I'll post some pics as soon as I get a new camera (dropped the other one). It did have big bumpers, which are good. (y)

That sounds great (y) .... once you have actual parts with prices, you can start a new thread in the classified for sale section.
