Moroso doesn't offer a specific "trick spring" part number for our cars.....i've been told that the ChevyII spring will fit our cars but I have no proof to back that up with. Anyway, you'd be wasting your time and money.....you don't need them. If you want maximum weight transfer, go down to NAPA and pull out the MOOG book and look up the part# for a 1970 maverick w/ 200 six and no AC. Buy those springs.....(now to take a chapter from Dave Morgan's book) go down to the local spring shop and have them compressed to coil bind and strapped up. Leave them that way for as long as possible, I prefer a minimum of 6-months. Then take them out and install them......of course, an adjustable shock will be the best thing to complement them with. Ask me how I know all this works If you don't get the ride height that you are after, there is a way to lower the front without cutting coils out, and it's the best way for a drag application.
Thanks so much for the great info I had know ideal what to do for weight transfer without aftermarket springs. I have a stroker motor on juice 10 inch slicks cal tracs etc. I get some air on the hole shots but I still have bad tire spin any other advice to help while I am waiting for my springs to form would be greatly appreciated and put to use. Thanks so much for your help. 393mark
