    Hi all,

working on putting some power in the mav and i see Hooker Super Comps HOK-6110HKR claim the will fit a 69-77 302 with PS, AC, and Column Shift Auto.

Has anyone used them with a Column shift auto and if so whats the real scoop on 'em?

    Thanks
    tim

I have them on my '72 with factory column shift and they fit great. These headers were bought in '87(well before Holley bought out Hooker) so I am not sure they are still made exactly the same or not.

Well I was told that they wouldn't fit. But if you guys say they will with no modification then I will order them up. Crosses fingers.

In order to get the driver side on, I have to unbolt the shifter linkage pivot (two nuts from underneath by the steering box) from the frame. Then remove the bracket from the stud on the back corner of the engine (the stud may have to be unscrewed from the engine first). I think the linkage has to be unhooked from the tranny also. Install header then put all linkage back as before it was unhooked.

if you have P/S you will need a slave cylinder braket and a doble hump transmition cross

would the double hump from a mustang work? If not then where do I pick one of them up along with the slave cylinder braket.
