Only one of mine was out in the rain.;) It didn't stay dry for long though. We had an absolutley great time. As always, too much to see and not enough time to see it all. During the three days we were there I think I sat down maybe 3 times. We must have walked at least 5 miles, and loved every minute of it.:) It was great to see everyone again, I just wish we could have more time to shoot the breeze more than we did. It did rain on the way home Sunday. We got stuck in a HUGE downpour halfway home that was so bad I could hardly see Dale in front of me in the 77' Maverick. I just spent this morning cleaning the Stallion back up. Haven't gotten to the 77' yet. But you know, if it ain't raining, it ain't Carlisle. The giveaway car this year was a 1991 Capri convertable with a removable hardtop, or $5000 cash instead. The guy who won the car took the cash rather than the car. I wonder what happens to the car now. Anyway, can't wait for next year. Maybe the folks at Carlise will provide a boat launch for Dan's row boats.

YES!!!!!!!! It got wet. No big deal. It is a car. I drive it. I'll clean it. I took it to the beach two weeks ago in the rain to another show and it got sand on it too. I love driving it, that is the fun part of going to the show. On my way home from Carlisle, it was nearing dusk, a perfect night, the windows were down, the speedo was averaging 70 mph, Ted Nugent could be heard screaming over the flowmasters and wind, and all I could think of as people kept giving me the thumbs up is that I must be in the baddest ride on the road. Took me back to the days of my other Maverick when it was my only car. I have been in a fantastic mood ever since!!!! My other Maverick is going to be a "show car" but I am going to build it to drive. Undercoating, overdrive transmission, AC, four wheel power disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, power windows and door locks, blown fuel injected engine, killer stereo, and plenty of touch up paint. I can't wait!!!

You must have spent it on food. It goes up every year. I'm going to have to start eating for one person. If I went on a diet I could have more parts.

wow.... am i disappointed. 19 postings here about what a great time carlisle was. not one person offering kudos to either dale, jean or wes for having their cars showcased. so i'll start. GREAT JOB YOU THREE!!! if this is what is considered to be a great maverick community, well..(biting my tongue) i sure don't want to be a part of it. this only re-affirms my justification in not forking over my 25 bucks to renew my mcci membership. even todd (at 19 years old) thought this is pretty low. i guess the only thing lower might be following this thread with snide remarks.
