I think I found my engine problem...

    The really stupid part, when I saw this rod sticking out of my oil pan, I thought "Damn, ruined my chrome plated oil pan"! :rolleyes:

    The thought has crossed my mind. It's just that I have so many 289/302 parts on hand. But still ..... :rolleyes:

    take some pics... so we can see what catastrophic engine failure looks like.. hehehe

    sorry to hear it.. all the more reason i dont want to run a 347.. i have heard so many people talking abuot engine blowups.. pushing a stock block so close to breaking point is bad i suppose.. even if it runs like a raped ape

    Yeah, a 393 is looking better and better. If I can figure out how to get a reasonable compression ratio. Gotta squeeze all that displacement into small block combustion chambers.
