Whats your price range? I know you said you wouldnt want to ship one but, flying somewhere and driving a car you no nothing about all the way back home isnt cheap either. Thats why I was asking your price range. I think most people would agree with me that most cars under say $3000 or so have some kind of mechanical problem. With the price of gas and airline tickets...transporting sounds like a deal. Oh and if you think transporting isnt cheap have a car break down with you several hundred miles from home and have it towed! I would look for one within 150 miles or so, or find a good one and have it shipped. JMO

Nice paint job. The rear spoiler didn't do it for me though, kinda big and not painted to match. Looks like it was thrown on at the end. The dash could have used a cap or a real pad, looks like mine and not proud of that. The wheels? Well... Their chrome and new looking, just not agressive enough for me.
Excelant searching though(y) Keep em coming guys! If nothing else, the pics give ideas:D

Hello neighbor.:Handshake I'll keep my eyes out for you on a Comet but they are definitely harder to find than the Mavericks. If you decide to settle on a Maverick, I have a couple of 71 Grabbers here that I'm still debating on whether or not I'm going to sell or part out. I don't have the time to restore them again. I have three more that I'm working on. Anyway, both of these cars were being driven as daily drivers before Katrina flooded them so they now both need complete restorations. Let me know if you might be interested. :)

Awesome...two pairs of eyes are much better than one. I am definately wanting to stick with Finding a 2dr Comet or Comet GT. My dad used to have a 72 Comet GT and it's for sentimental reasons that I am wanting to do it. :)

I understand perfectly. I feel the same way about the 71 Grabbers. I guess that's the reason I have so many of them. ;)
