body bolt kit

    does anyone no of a place to buy a body bolt kit. I would like to get new fender and bumper bolts at least.

    this months car craft talks about repro bolt kits from a company called AMK products, from winchester, va. 540-662-7820: amkproducts.com. other than that i don't know anything about them. hope that helps.:)

    AutoKrafters sells them also. If you don't need 100% originality you can contact a local auto body supply company and buy them. When I worked in an auto parts store we sold them in small quantity's under the Dorman Products brand name.

    I looked at the web site no listing for a maverick. I wounder if a mustang kit will fit?

    I bought an AMK kit for a 66' mustang, it was great...everything was labeled in it's own bag for easy install. I would recommend them and if they have a kit for a mav/comet then post the part # for us.

    Not sure about other years but on my 1971 90% of the body bolts were Yellow Dichromate 5/16 bolts ..... if buy these in bulk you'll save lots of money. The front end of my car had over 40 just on the fenders and in the engine compartment ...

    I was bought them 25 for $6 ..... however, the website I got them for no longer works ... they are more expensive at the site above but shop around.

    not doing a 100% restoration just want something better than the bulk nuts and bolts I can get from the local hardware store.

    thanks for the link thats looks like what I need.

    not looking to replace every bolt just the ones you can see. I have 3 diferant styles of bolts holding the tops of the fenders on now.
