Offenhouser still makes the 3 x 1 setup for the 144, 170, 200, and 250. Summit sells the kit and it looks like it includes linkage. Looks like all you add is three identical carbs.

No, you use a 144cid holley 1904 130cfm on each end and a 250cid carb in the middle.

By the way, I did get my exhaust done. It cost $180.00. I like the sound and it looks great. If you are interested in getting an exhaust done on the car, Let me know.

terry wants to run diesel in a mav and join the diesel mav club:evilsmile.
personally id go natural gas if i was going to convert(currently cheaper than even diesel). you can convert the motor you already have and they get pretty good mileage. you lose a little power, but they dont smell as bad and when you yank the heads the cylinders still look clean.im with ratio on headers, not to mention they do sound better as well.

Believe or not, But I think there is only two places in all of metro Atlanta that sells natural gas for vehicles. And both are over 25 miles from my house. I'm thinking Bio-diesel. That way the car smells french fries instead of diesel.

Why not just add a small Paxton or Vortech?
    That and a header...
    170 cid of course.

A blower does not require any working of the ports or bigger valves since it forces the air in. Then the header value has already been discussed.
Done right, seems to me that you would end up with plenty of power and MPG would be a wash if not better.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
i can vouch for these my dad drove a 4-cyl one for two years and only changed the oil twice on a diesel

he would still have it on the road but the shock got messed up and made a hole trough the fender well.

my sister drives a same model one and i still cant believe its running the way she drives it

the funniest thing was when she asked me

"how can i make it go faster.....should i change the spark plugs?":rofl2:

I would surely buy this intake and that would involve and new carb, but that adds 50hp and they clame if you buy they're cam? and header it will add a total of 115hp, and this intake too saves the gas milage. Haven't tried they're product, just now saw it in the new jegs catalog, with that description.

It would be nice if the heads on the 170-200-250 were interchangeable with the 240-300, but alas, they ain't. To have interchangeable manifolds on a 250, you need an Aussie or Argie head. FSP is supposedly coming out with an aluminum clone this year.
