When I have been looking for various pieces, this is one of the cars I am putting together. Its parts weren't that bad, but it came back with a nicer paint job than its chrome. It is not done yet, but we put on my first Grabber stripe this weekend and I just have to share pictures. It will have a stripe around the black on the hood as well. Hopefully I will be posting its first pictures at the track after Weds. If you need a work space while installing a Grabber stripe, find the nearest AAR 'cuda....
Nice job on the stripe ... getting them on perfectly straight definitely takes patience ... but its worth it.
It doesn't help either when the body panels fit like a $1995 car. There was also a previous quarter put on that was not exactly welded on straight which wasn't that noticeable until you are in the middle of putting a body stripe on.
Just givin' ya props, we all have our favorites. I can only imagine how nice it is to actually own them.
Hey...I think that Grabber stripe is gonna look great on that Cuda. Don't forget to post more pics when it's done. Great job on the Maverick too.
Nice looking and I always wondered what a cuda spoiler would look like on a maverick maybe you could mock it up and take a pic??
The taillight panel and hood cowl of the Maverick are official black textured mopar paint. I actually kept threatening to put the AAR stripe on the Maverick. My original Maverick had '66 Barracuda rocker mouldings to cover the rust on the rocker panels, they fit nicely. The two orange cars will both frequently be at the track together this summer so we will definitely be taking some pictures. Today we did the weatherstripping, not as fun as the Grabber stripe.
