thinking about selling my maverick

yup i am thinking about selling my maverick not because i dont like it but some one in mmy neighbor hood dosent like it. i day i noticed that some one had kiked my car down the passenger side not bad but when u got on ur knee and the sun was right you could see the shadows from the dents. then another day someone scratched my deck and messed my paint up luckly it was primer so i went out there with a spray paint and some primmer and it was gone in seconds. but not to long ago i went outside and some1 wrote in perimint marker on my deck FAGOT man i was p.o. but cant do anything about it so i brought the primmer out and coverd it but felt bad it was still on there so i sanded it down and painted over it. i wanna know what you guys think i can sell it for. it is a 1974 maverick and was orgnaly blue but i painted it primer grey and made some of the hood black, back by the tail lights, and the roof black since i cant revinel it. bumpers are stright but the back 1 needs to be rechromed. new carpet and roof came unstitched in 1 part and has 3 small rips in the back.the seats are torn but have all the foam. has a spear tire and trunk is nice. brand new shocks and gas tank. it has a 250 cid engine and a c4 trany only 72000 miles on it. and i dont think 172000 because the people that had it befor me only drove it once to the gas station and couldent get it over 25mph. so they sold it to me and i turned the electric choke a tad. jumped in and took it down the main street and hit 55 befor i had to turn. so no mechanical probles but the carborator has to be replaced because the electric choke messed up and now we have it wired open. this car is an az car and only has a lil bit or rust on the very corner of the passenger door everything woorks all lights turning signals window wipers. ohh also the powersteering pump leaks and it dose have factory a/c im looking for at least a thousand but i want 1200$ if any one on here is thinking about buying another maverick here u go i live in pheonix arizona 85323 and pm me on hear i will try to put up pics but in the pics my car is blue and the pics are to large well my loss someone elses gain plz let me know how much i should sell it for

 

also the people that owned it b4 me wanted 1600$ orginaly for it

 

You are going to sell your car because someone else who is to much of a pansy to confront you about it dosen't like it? Come on now...

I believe I would find out who is messing with the car and get to the root of the problem. It may not be the car itself they don't like. Could be the owner.

 

ya but if they flaten the tires or put a hammer throu the window i dont have the money to fix it and i dont wanna go through it

 

Exactly why you need to get to the root of the problem. If you get another car, how do you know they won't mess with it?

 

im gonna try to get 1 with a car alarm or try to buy back my stepdads grabber and if i do we wont let it sit outside

 

Well, I'm still not getting why you would need to sell the car out of all this, unless you just don't like the car. I think regardless of what you do with the car, you need to get to the root of the problem if this is a recurring thing. You can't just let someone trespass on your property and screw up your stuff.

 

i know but i had to sell my old galaxie for the same reason at my old house and i love my car if i dident i wouldent of bought it

Well, to be blunt, your back up plan sucks and likely won't put an end to your problem. The fact that they wrote fag on the car leads me to believe they have a problem with you, not the car itself.

 

ya thats true but i rather be jumped then to have them hurt the car i dont wanna sell it but when bad gets to worst it might have to go to that i really dont want it 2

 

I myself would not sell MY car over the BS that you are in......like Jamie said,"Get to the root of the problem"....Find who is doing this and confront them.I too,think that this is much deeper than someone just disliking your car......Get to root of the problem and keep your car.Good luck

 

sorry to hear about your situation, i used to live in glendale and i worked at the walmart in avondale. avondale from what i remember used to be nice and phenoix and glendale reminded me of where i was from in so california... if you feel you need to sell the car sell it, i agree with jamie to a certain point, depending on who is doing it you might go to the police. i have lived around gangs all my life, it ain't fun, but if it just some nieghbor idiots then deal with it, either you confronting them or getting the police envolved. alarm or no alarm it won't change. stupid is as stupid does. there idiots, you can't change that. you could pray for them, go to the police or talk to them... you say you would rather be jumped then have them hurt your car, well think about it... its easier to replace a windshield then to have your jaw broke or worse. and yes i speak from experience. anyway do what you feel comfortable doing... i will be praying for you.

 

thank you guys i dont think im gonna sell it but if it gets worse ahhhhh for get it if it gets worse ill move everything im my garage and try to put it in there if my parents will let me and like since i told the people i think are doing it i put a camera in my window and i pull my blinds up to make it look like i have 1 nothing has happend damn neighbors i hope they move
