Very Nice, I got my son a 74 Comet project car last year. He turned 16 in Dec. Hopefully it will be done this summer. Great father and son project cause once they start driving you won't see them again.

Looks like an awesome find (just curious...was it on Ebay? Thought I saw one like that on there the other day) Any who...got my son a 74 Comet w/ 302 last year as well - he's turning 15 in a month or so. They are awesome father/son projects, as we have found out, and he has learned alot by replacing most of the parts himself (with dad pointing things out along the way.) Good luck to you both - hope he learns alot and enjoys the car.

No, not on Ebay. I check the classifieds every morning for Mavericks and Comets. This one was about an hour away, it was the 1st Comet I have seen for sale around here.

Yeah, we are looking forward to this project, he's pretty pumped because none of his friends will have anything like the Comet. Some of them will have brand new cars, but he thinks the Comet is cool. Plus he's gonna learn quite a bit about cars in the process.

His friends will love the Comet, trust me. Me and my friends often go places in my Maverick rather then one of their new(er) cars. It's alot more fun riding around in a classic car then some boring run of the mill new car...

Geez...must be ten different sentences there and not the first period. You're posts are very difficult to read. Please "take the time" to use some punctuation. Nobody likes to have to read a post over and over to try to understand it. :hmmm:

Yeah, my 18 year old is receiving the gift of living another day. He's already had his 1st car, although it wasn't a Comet or Maverick, and had to sell it to pay fines. He's lost his drivers license, so he can't drive now anyway.

The 14 year old is totally opposite, does the right thing, is trustworthy and a total joy to be around. The 18 year old is smart as a whip, but he's an idiot, if that makes sense.
