southwest, next to the dry forrest. born and educated in the big apple till the age of ten, then we pichted camp here. yes there was a lot of mavericks and most went to the crusher. these find cars are beloved here. but only a few are left. I got lucky and purchased a maverick with only 42.000 original miles garage queen from the only owner!! I was stationed in ft. hood tx 4 years and I loved it!!!
I got to stay with a friend near Camuy, right on the water. Really nice place. I loved it there, and might retire there (I still have many years to go til retirement!!!). The people were very friendly, and they LOVE their cars and motorcylces. I was there during a reelection or something, and it was festivals in the streets every night, music, dancing, and meeting new people every day. Everyone was riding four wheelers and dirt bikes in the streets, just having a good time. In the area I stayed, I think I saw 4 mavericks in 8 days...much more than I see in the states in the same amount of square miles! I surfed there all along the northern coast, but never made it past Aquadilla one way, and San Juan and El Yunque the other direction. Have to go back and do the southern side, someday...
cool !! there's some thing going on any where you go !! I get invitations to car shows get=togethers, weddings, birthdays because they like mavericks. the small kids love the sound of the flow masters when I rev it up !! there is still mavericks around but not as many as there used to be !! I was stationed in ft. benning ga. for ten years and only saw one maverick !! man that car was flawless/perfect, the owner worked in advance auto in columbus ga.. my friend Davo painted the car factory grabber blue !! this guy painting was a monster with the spray gun !!
