right! it's funny how many people say "i'm looking at this grabber.. its the performance model right? its a good investment right? like you said they don't know.... personally to me.... grabber = hood, spoiler and some stickers. its still a maverick big woopee as far as those prices great if you can get that good for you... but for god sakes its a maverick! 13k 10k i don't know.... i sure woundn't pay that for one i don't care what condition its in! i could see putting that much into one or even probably more to get it to stock or orginal looking. but whats the return... brake even... don't sound like much of a investment to me. also keep this in mind east coast vs. west coast your gonna have to cut that price down more then half! still too many around in decent shape grabber or regular old maverick around. i see what you guys on the east coast pay for stuff.. a heck of alot more then anyone here would pay in cali thats for sure. i guess in some ways its all relevant but again its a maverick its not a muscle car. but if someone wants to pay that more power too you and welcome to the band wagon...
mavman, thats because they have all kinds of money left after paying cash for their houses. my house costs maybe half of your area and bay area and there are still people talking about going back east from here to buy more for less:evilsmile
Here's something I've wondered about. Why aren't Comet GT's on the very top by shear numbers they had less of every Comet produced compared to Mavericks..right which would make every Comet made more rare than the Mav it's same year, (except the Mav Sprint and Stallion, and Mavs produced before Comets were on introduced), since there was not a Comet counterpart. IE shouldn't my '74 basic Comet be valued slightly higher than a basic Maverick of the same year, since there were less Comet's produced?
For the same reason Cougars aren't more popular or valued higher than Mustangs I guess ... They weren't as poplular when new ... and not as wanted now ...
I've always had the impression that the reason Mercs don't sell as well as Fords is because they always have a slightly higher sicker price, the Mid eighties Capri was the Fox Mustang Twin but sold for a higher sticker price.
I saw that it was an old thread, but I would have sworn that someone had bumped the thread up before me! :16suspect
That's ok!! I like the polar white and black on that stallion! Thanks for posting it Stefan! I got to check out the Gallery more often. Jerry
