My wife and I are selling my 72 mav and I was wondering what I should ask for it???? We have thought about putting it on EBAY as a parts car and starting the bid at 250 and the reserve at 500. Do you think i am going too low or too high... Here are the pics of it on car domain. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2354343

sorry to hear your selling it. Why only as a parts car? looks like you did some decent repair work to it.

you could always start the bidding fairly low and set a reserve (lowest price you'd sell it for) then see what it goes to. sort of letting the market set the price. good luck.:)

The only reason I was thinking of selling as a parts cars is that I would not feel comfortable selling as a driver with the steering and handling problems it has... I am open for any opinions.

Anyone buying a 35 year old unrestored car should expect the suspension and stuff needs work. Otherwise, they don't have much buisness buying an old car. JMO

Damn, your right down the road from me. Put it on Ebay and sell it complete. Put a high reserve on it. Just be honest and describe all the faults as well as the good. If you part it out you will still need to get rid of the carcuss. That could cost you unless you know somebody.

Looks to me like you've put some work into it. I wouldn't let it go to low. I say sell it whole. Somebody will pick it up and hopefully finish what you've started. It runs? At least a G.

when you say steering and handling, is it power steering car? if so just switch it to manual. or is it in need of the 200 dollar mustang suspension kit that most of us have installed still? But if you have to sell it i say at least 1k also.
