Awesome looking car. Nice color, and I really like the way the inner fender panels are smoothed out, looks factory. What are the hood hinges from?
We gotta get a So.Cal. gathering going. I'll volunteer my place and I'll BBQ for those that can make it. Thomas, just tell us when you are ready!
First off thanks for the picture fix, usually I have to make the pictures very small to post so it's easier for this computer iliterate person to link them from Matts board. The other car in the picture is my wifes Grabber (Tammy's car) and it's what got me to make this car for myself. It was featured in Hot Rod magazine, you can still find it on thier web site under featured cars. It has changed sence that article because that car was totaled the month it came out in the magazine. Different engine, mustang II front end, power windows, locks, remote controled rear vents, cruise control, and other stuff. The hinges are from Fox body cars 80-ish mustang, struts are from a 93 escort. I had to move the original hood hinge mounting points inboard about 1" to clear the inner fender. It took a little work but, now I know I won't hit my head on the latch anymore because of the granada latch and the hood opening alot farther.
JUST TELL ME WHEN... AND I WILL BE THERE! Jamie was talking to me earlier, and saying how he would like to have a gathering... but I think your house would be better because it is more central!
I'm near speecheless, but a few words come to mind: * Enginuity * Craftsmanship * Passion * Pride and * Holy sh*t! You should be very proud of your work of art, "Mr." Thomas Hackmann.
Tom - that car will definately get you into the Maverick Hall of Fame Excellent, imaginative and creative mind at work!
