I am bagging on Crites because for some reason they won't show the finished product.
I had the same problem with them on their Grabber hood.
They want you to buy the stuff, but can't show a pic of anything.
Then they come up with this crap.

They also dont build them in mass quantity so they dont have any sitting around, they build them when ordrered not defending them but I understand there procedure.

I called the guy from RCI again and he said that the Maverick that the pattern was made out of had a rack steering setup. Does that probably mean they won't fit Maverick's with regular steering? He did say if they didn't fit, I could bring the headers up and they could move a tube to make them fit. Also, they use the wider bolt pattern and 3" collectors 12" long. He said he could send me a tack welded set to test fit and if they fit I could send them back to get the welding finished. You guys think this is an option I should try? He said it would take 4 weeks.

Seems like they could plan ahead a little...
They have made stuff in the past, 'finished product'. If they plan on not keeping any on the shelf, they could at least take photos of stuff before it goes out the door. Being in business myself, that is something I would do in that position.
    Common sense. Good business.

    Okibono,
You have a rack steering setup right? How much different is it in location and size from the stock steering? I'm thinking the rack steering may be a totally different setup and therefore the headers won't work on a car with regular steering.

Hedman has a new Husler hedder that apparently just came out for 65-70 Mustangs and Cougars that is stepped 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 (85002) with a slip on collector. I wonder if they would fit...doubt it. They also have a 1 3/4 and a 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped header for the 65-70 Mustang/Cougar 302.

You have other options, especially with smaller tubes.
The only thing about the Crites is that you take it on their word that they are 'bolt in' big (1.75") tube swap headers.
Hooker has the big (1.75") tubes for the 65 Stang swap, that will fit our cars with some minor to moderate modding of the engine bay.
Then several companies, Tubular comes to mind, make 1.5" tubes for a bolt in 351w swap.

The best way I have found, personally, to get 351 cubes and big tubes is to use a Cleveland. :yup:
They don't interfere with the shock towers nearly as much as a W, so 1.875" to 2" tubes are available.
Gotta use stock valve covers though if you want power brakes (Geo mod only of course)... :slap:

AK does carry the Tubular stuff. However you would get it cheaper dealing direct I believe. I have had the Cleveland and Boss 302 swap headers from them and they were good product. I can't say anything about the W headers as I have not had a set. I know they are 1.5" tube is all. Heddman sells 1.5" swap headers too.
The Hookers and now the Crites are .25" larger tubes if you need the extra flow.

yeah AK is 500 buckaroos  i think thats crazy , for just 1 1/2 tubes , i said i would go with crites but im thinking , i emailed crites 3 days ago still no reply , and Jamie Joyce has those doug thorley shortys for 302 mavericks id like to find out if they fit a 351w , he said maybe , i dont think i need 1 3/4 i dont have a high rev engine my motor might be at redline at 5500-5600 or so , but i cant see it hurting it much if i do find some 1 3/4 . i was looking at the AK site last night the discription said the pass side needs 3 piece motor mounts does anyone know if this true? 351w is def. frustraiting , i agree with goin to the C for 351 cubes , exhaust points down , instead strait out.
