Thanks to everyone who sent in pictures. It was ALOT tougher this year to decide which pics. went into the calendar and which did not. I had over 30 pictures submitted. All of the cars looked great and the picture quality was real good.
To let everyone know what help me decide which ones made it and which ones didn't. I took into consideration several things, but the main thing was "the amount of money that came with certain pics! :D .....j/k
Actually I went with the best mix of cars I could: 4 doors, 2 doors, Mavs. and Comets. So please no one get mad or upset if your car did not get it, there is always next year. This year was tough!
Anyway, we started the "pre-press" work today, thats going to take the longest amount of time, maybe up to a month, then it will go to press, then bindery and then to the post office to be shipped to your house. I hope...."HOPE" to have it done by November, that way you can get it by Christmas! WOW! Christmas talk already? these years are flying by!
I just thought I would let everyone know where we are at on the calendar and thank EVERYONE who sent in pics!

Is there a pre-publication price or volume discount?

I got all the proofs made today. Its looking real good. The pictures that were scanned from e-mails turned out real nice.
Actually getting all the proofs done today has put me about 3 weeks ahead of schedule. BUT, now its a matter of finding press time and bindery time for it.
Anyways, its gonna happen...again. I am very confident that it will be 1,000 times better than 2003.

As far as pre-paying for it. To help the new people I will give a little background on this project: I work for a major printing company and they allow me to print this job at cost for materials. Which include ink, paper, plates and a few bindery materials: stitches and boxes. But the equipment time and labor are free. The only catch to that is I have to do it when time is available. We are now entering our busy season, so time is a big factor. So I might have it ready for press next week, but who knows when it will get to press.
So, I do not have a price yet, but it will be as reasonable as last years in relation to the product you are getting.
Thanks and I will keep you guys and gals updated.

    We have all Heidelbergs here, we have a 40" 7 color, 40" 6 color, 40" 2 color(perfector) and a 29" 8 color(perfector). The 2003 was printed on our 7 color.
The quality of the 2003 was OK. We did not have alot of pictures to work with last year and we did the best we could. This year the picture quality is much better and we will be able to produce a full size calendar with all the pictures being 8 1/2 by 11.
I have my final proof tonight and the job has been layed-out and is ready for plates! woooo woooo!
