Thanks for the link to the previous thread and info . I`m not the initial buyer of the car - in fact it has changed hands 3 times since. My friend made the initial deal with GS and flew from Atlanta to California and drove the Mav home on a 5 day cross country cruise. Never missed a beat and averaged over 20MPG all the way home. He sold it to a buddy of his in Augusta who kept it until he finished his Grabber project - and then I made a deal with him on the car. So far no regrets - this is the sweetest vintage ride I`ve ever owned - with the EFI - you just hit the key and go. It`s like driving a Fox Body Mustang that`s wearing a Maverick suit. All credit to GS Johnson - he built a great car. Looking forward to getting out on the highways with some of the Georgia Maverick Clan.
That is a sweet ride!! I like how the power brakes and fuel injection intake fit. It is a close fit but that car would be a nice driver. If you could, can you take a picture of the gap between them. I want to do the same thing but did not think it would fit.
wheels/tires Yes, I did get the original 14" setup with the car - the previous owner added a rear leaf on each side because he thought the car sat too low - so now the original 14`s look lost back there.
shock tower support Nick - Here`s a few shots of the shock tower bracing around the Plenum and MasterCylinder / Booster area. Hope that helps.
like to see how much people paid for it since it changed hands a few times it would give a good guage on what these cars really nice are starting to bring.
Mtrhed, thanks for the pics!! It looks like a nightmare to change plugs on the drivers side. Those power brakes are worth it though. I love your car. Congrats.
Nice car. Glad to see that it has found a home in Georgia. Here that, Ray? Another Maverick is in Georgia.
