72 comet gt strip kit help!

    does anyone know where i can buy a 72 gt comet strip kit? also need a carpet kit and drivers front fender must be almst rust free. please any help would be great. please email me at magic-comet-ride@3web.net thanks john:bowdown:

    Try phoenixgraphix.com - they have stripe kits for Comets and Mavericks sll years.

    If you order from phoenixgraphix make sure they do not make them for AUTO KRAFTERS.
    I put a set from AUTO KRAFTERS on my Comet and they were cut wrong. I had to remove them.

    I'm sure Seth will chime in ... but early Comet GT stripes are different than later year Comet GT stripes ...

    AK makes nothing ... they probably get them from Pheonix or Graphics Express ...

    My first set was from a Mustang supply house in VA-Mustang Market.
    They were WRONG! Inconsistent as hell. They sent me another set-same problem. I asked where they got them, I was told they made them. I asked for my $$ back, and the mgr. called me and said he was complaining to the 'supplier'. He would not tell me who that was. I don't have a clue who it was but, I got the $$ back.

    I called Graphics Express. Perfect fit, color etc.

    Seth, are these like fords stripe kits were, a long roll for the whole side or in individual pieces, fender, door, quarter?

    They will be in 6 pieces just like the factory stripes.

    6 pieces. The only thing with Comet stripes is you need to be careful that the keyhole is cut out properly. Be careful not to tear/stretch the stripe getting it out. They leave the keyhole in the stripe but it is cut.

    The later year stripes 73? and up at least the ones I got from ford were one long roll. Then there was no alignment problems you just cut at the fenders and doors after installing the whole length and they lined up on the other side perfect everytime.

    I would prefer to overlap and wrap the panels a lot more than what be left from cutting between the panel gaps ... 6 pieces is the way to go ...
