I was Just Given a 1976 Ford Maverick I6. The Cars Pretty much as stock as you can get without going back in time. All original parts and everything Else, The Only major Problem i've got is that My hood is Starting to Rust pretty bad. anyone know Where I can either Get a Good Hood For It Either in Texas or online that isnt going to cost me an arm and a Leg.

Junkyard is probably the best. I checked out a site the other day but hadn't heard back from them. I'm not sure if their prices are any good. Check out www.sunmanford.net They're in Seminole OK and ship to anywhere. Still waiting to hear from the on some bumpers. On their site they got 3 Mavs but no Comets.

    Welcome!
    Where in Texas are you?

you can get a fiberglass grabber hood from autokrafters.com for $370 and another 30 for the hinge kit.

Post a thread in the wanted section. There are enough people here who have converted to Grabber hoods and should have some stockers laying around.
