trying to find a track in KY, IN, OH or TN that runs a Friday night program that is not a T&T I have found a couple....one I do not like racing at and the others, according to their website, leave me unsure if its a bracket program or a "special" T&T. I sent out a couple e-mails asking for clarification.....we shall see. *have race car, will travel*
John, I'm not into drag racing other than watching but there are a few near me you can check out. Norwalk Raceway, Dragway 42 and Thompson Dragstrip. And heck if you can't find a place just come up and we'll have some parking lot drags behind the house. Then of course a bon-fire and a few Icehouses !!!!
42 is T&T on Friday Thompson is having a National Street car shootout Norwalk is Kuhmo Street Warriorz Done checked. Although the parking lot drags sound like fun Probably just go to US60....don't really want too, but its better than a blank.
Muncie Dragway does a Friday Nite program once a month. It is mainly done for "tuners"...but just about everything shows up. They also have DJ's playing music, bikini girls dropping their arms to start the races, etc. There is more they do....I am just not sure of the rest.
Kil-kare in Xenia runs a T & T on Thursdays, Round track Friday and the drags on Saturdays. I don't know of any Friday nite programs. Not much help, but I thought I'd toss it out there.
if your willing travel 6 hrs you can race fri,sat and sun in the memphis area (memphis motorsports, holly springs miss.dragstrip, byhalia miss. raceway but i know tooooo farrrrr .
John, Saturday is the race days at all three tracks in my area. I would love to see you make it up to thornhill this year at least once.
thanks for the suggestions.....Memphis is a little too far Don, that might be an ideal Muncie, is not my scene with all the street cars Lance, I would loe to come up there and race....lets try and plan a Saturday that works for both of us....normally the weekend is family time, thats why I am looking to race on Friday night. But throw me some dates and we shall see.
I found this site...it lists all the strip in the US....pretty neat to have if your a racer. http://www.speedwaysonline.com/HTML/Tracks/dragstrips.html#Kentucky
