I should keep the 6. It'd be fun to have such an oddball car. Rock out the 4 door with the 6 while all of the other cool Maverick (Which gets it's share of crap as is) have the 2 door with the 8. I can be the strange kid.
I have emissions down here in Phoenix, but I hear I can go up to Northern AZ and register it with my families address and not have to get through emissions... I guess the car has already had some emissions trouble down here in Phoenix... so that'll be a struggle that will make me want to strangle myself, I'm sure.
Not all of us have the 8, a lot prefer the 6 for gas mileage and just straight classicishness. (is that a word? ) You'll find, though, that most of these cars are upgraded as they don't have the long lasting appeal of the more renowned muscle cars so aren't constrained to stay factory. There's a few people on here who've put 351s and bigger into the little engine compartment - of course with that much power you've gotta change a whole lot else, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.
It has a lot of surface kinda power rust on the outside. I looked it over and there's nothing even remotely vital on the frame or making it through the body that I can see. So I figure I can sand it down and it'll be pretty cool. It looks like it had a vinyl top on it originally. Is this possible, or was it just two toned up there or something? If it was vinyl it'd be kinda cool to replace it.
Yes, some did have vinyl tops. If you get the numbers off your door tag and PM them to Craig Selvey, I think he can tell you what type or color of top it was.
if you can register it up north, i would. make sure it's with someone reliable that's gonna make sure you get any renewal notices. i live in pinal county and it's so nice not to have to go through emissions.
dang i live in pheonix and belive i do have to go through emissions. dam o well im working on it. and arizona is growing. can we take over GA?????????????
Georgia is beyond being took over. We are over run! I'd like to know what percentage of people in the Atlanta area are actually from GA. I'll bet not many!
