They had a '72 4 door 200 car, brown with a white vinyl top and brown interior and a '75 4 door 250 car, white with white vinyl top and tan interior. The '75 had nothing good, except a perfect HVAC control plate with the rear window defrost option on it! Unfortunately, the factory rear defroster unit was gone. I did manage to get an almost perfect front bumper, brackets, and lights off the '72 4 door. $35 for everything.
i think there's only one and jamie's got a spy at the gate that tells him when a mav or comet comes in.
You're lucky to still have yards down there that still have Mavericks in them. Up here the yards have either crushed them all, or the Mavericks that are left have been stripped of anything usefull by someone else. It sucks because that leaves nothing left for anyone else.
There is 3 of them that I go to regularly, and not only does their website list the cars they have, they automatically email me anytime they get a new Maverick or Comet in at any of the 3 yards! The thing that is good about Pull-A-Part is that they don't allow their inventory to get stale like some yards I have seen. Cars will stay on the yard for about a month or so and then they will crush it and bring in more. They are almost continuously updateing their inventory.
Thanks for the link Jamie. I didn't realize there was one in B'ham, but I've got it bookmarked now! I am going to have to check it out as soon as I get a little money saved up!
There is a '70 and '73 Maverick, and a '73 Comet at Birmingham right now! I'm not selling the bumper. It's going on the '73 2 door I got from Earl. My brother wants to convert it to small front bumper.
i have a list of j/yards in Ga. i call their toll free # from time to time and ask about mav./comet cars. this keeps it fresh on there mines that there is a market for these parts. ...frank...
