So, now my Maverick group is more complete, I have a 3 on the tree 1970 Grabber. It will be undergoing a full restoration. It is all original so I am taking lots of pictures so I remember how things were while we redo it. So, what can everyone tell me about '70 Grabbers? They seem to be kind of an afterthought, since they were midyear, I can't find much info about them. What were the production numbers, etc.? It is yellow with a black interior.

I knew if I just kept buying Mavericks, I would eventually get one to match one of the registries.

Grabbers were a special promotion Ford put on in 1970 ... you could get either the Maverick or a Mustang with the Grabber package. After the initial run Ford saw how many Maverick Grabbers they sold and made it a permanent model in the line-up ... apparantly Mustang Grabbers did not sell very well and they were discontinued after the special run ...

    Awesome information and pictures, thanks!!

I'm sure learning a lot here, and I had never thought of "collecting" 1:1 cars until now.....I find myself wanting to own a Comet GT, and a couple of Mavericks, including a grabber....in addition to my '74 Comet. This is beginning to feel like an addiction  :yup:

Keep the info coming, I'm diggin' it! (y)

Seen the info on the Mustang Grabbers for years, but I have never actually seen one in the tin.

Looks like they just used left over '69 Boss 302 stripes on a '70 fastback Mustang. :) Man, I love that body style of Mustangs.

    Hi, guys.

uh, :), I don't suppose I could get a color copy of that Grabber brochure, could I, DMHINES? I would like to add that to the Mustang Grabber Registry files. Thanks and all my best.
