So, now my Maverick group is more complete, I have a 3 on the tree 1970 Grabber. It will be undergoing a full restoration. It is all original so I am taking lots of pictures so I remember how things were while we redo it. So, what can everyone tell me about '70 Grabbers? They seem to be kind of an afterthought, since they were midyear, I can't find much info about them. What were the production numbers, etc.? It is yellow with a black interior.
Visit the link I have provided below. Craig Selvey is the man for the info you need. He has a 70 Grabber Registry. Dan http://www.maverickcorral.com
Grabbers were a special promotion Ford put on in 1970 ... you could get either the Maverick or a Mustang with the Grabber package. After the initial run Ford saw how many Maverick Grabbers they sold and made it a permanent model in the line-up ... apparantly Mustang Grabbers did not sell very well and they were discontinued after the special run ...
Everything you ever wanted to know about the Mustang Grabber ... http://1970mgr.org/ and here is a sales brochure I have in my collection .. and from the website above ...
Awesome information and pictures, thanks!! I'm sure learning a lot here, and I had never thought of "collecting" 1:1 cars until now.....I find myself wanting to own a Comet GT, and a couple of Mavericks, including a grabber....in addition to my '74 Comet. This is beginning to feel like an addiction  Keep the info coming, I'm diggin' it!
Looks like they just used left over '69 Boss 302 stripes on a '70 fastback Mustang. Man, I love that body style of Mustangs.
Hi, guys. uh, , I don't suppose I could get a color copy of that Grabber brochure, could I, DMHINES? I would like to add that to the Mustang Grabber Registry files. Thanks and all my best.
