Funny question for ya all,,,, My maverick has a hitch on it,, goes up bolts into the bumper bolts,,, (small bumpers) and then hooks up to the body in front of the gas tank. it even has 1969.5 maverick stamped in it,, was this a option, or aftermarket hitch? I dont intend on pulling anything,, thought of removing it, but, if its a rare thing, Ill leave it on,, sooo,, whats the hitch on em? pictures if you need em,, Chad

Yeah ... I was looking for one ... have located one ... just have to get Hawko to pick it up for me ... :)

Since you already have it mounted ... do you think it is strong enought for a bike rack or with it twist the bumper?

Id say it would hold up to 350#s I can jump on it, and Im 225,, and not move the bumper,,, Ive jacked the rear of the car up with it, it flexed, but not bent. I tried uploading the pic, but says the photo is too large,, so Ill post a link in a few,, Chad

It hugs the bottom of the tank, then bends upwards to the trunk floor, right infront of the tank with 2, 1/2"dia bolts. Dont worry, dont look hard to install, if anything, id put a re enforcement plate inbetween where the hitch bracket meets the floor, and inside the trunk where the bolts come thru. It would help the trunk floor from ripping if something bad happens,, Ill post a picture of the underside when daylight shines again. Kinda stormy out tonight in northern Indiana!!! Chad

Mine dont look like that underneath,, yours attatch to the frame rails, mine attaches to the trunk floor but the drawbar and the bumper brackes are the same, other than my drawbar is longer, and goes way underneath. Chad

Thanks ... frame rails are better ... I wasn't too keen on having to put holes in my Maverick .... :)
