I really wanna hear that thing run! If you have a way ,please post a video or sound wave of it when you get a chance? I will be doing a 393/408 for My Mav next year and I cant wait to get it done! :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
was told that the 408 and up tend to run a little Hot for the street with the mavs not being the best for cooling really wanted to make it a 427 but 393 will do just fine :bananaman
looks great!!! but the hose sleeves look bad when they're stretched. but love everything else!!!!great job.
Excellent job Dave!! It's always nice to see a "sweet" motor inside one of these little cars. If you go to a NHRA or IHRA track the Tech Offical might say something about how much rubber fuel line you are running, NHRA rules says you can have a max of 6 inches. I bet that monster sounds sweet (had to get my favorite word in there at least twice) and will scare the pants off some import. Terry Gates AKA Bossmav P.S. hey Dave what headers are you running? 393 CID Right!
Good call on the fuel line Terry! I have been looking at all of Daves pics trying to see what "tech" might get him on. One thing I cannot see but you might want to think about, I know they get people at my track, is you must have all your tranny coolant lines double hose clamped. Dave your motor looks really good. I think next years drag racing at the round-up should be a site to see!
