A few questions!

thanx everyones beforehand, my first questions is:
1. I down the shifter of trans at the floor, but it had a little problem, after a time it loosen and when i do the change of speed, i not sure nothing!! , the shifter has dipsticks like mechanism to the trans, my question is, there are another way to do the trans more reliable???

2.my second questions is: change of trans??, I dont know so much of mechanical, but reading in this panel, i find many ideas for to do it in mi car, one of that ideas is change the trans but i dont have idea about what I need to do it, i like a 5 speed and the reverse, i dont do it, but, is complicated?? what I need?? is recommendable??? which are de gains and the losts??, I know that this topic is something extensive, just quickly, for give me a idea about of it implicated?? My Maverick have motor 302 V8 and 3 speed.

3. The third question is: About overheating, when i turn on my car is magical, dont do it nothing strange, but aftes a time of go by, when i turn of and wait like 15 min and try to turn on again it just do noise like battery down, dont turn on, the radiator is rebuild, the temperature is more less 100° Celcius (212° Fahrenheit), what do you thing about can to be???, I saw ones bottles that keep antifreeze will be a possible solucion??

Sorry, is 3 speed manual, and I dont know what kind of shifter is using my car, i dont think so be a factory ones, maybe the question correct is, you know shifters more reliable??? give me factory or name, where buy it?

yea they work

every car should have one... otherwise when the pressure builds up and you turn the car off where does it go? probably on the ground and then when the engine cools down, it is low on coolant. advance or autozone, pep-boys, napa, woods, any automotive place should have them...i know advance sells them for 2.99 for a standard bottle and mounting brackets, return hose and dumping hose.

 

which one donnor car can to serve me for obtain a 4 speed trans???
