Unless you just like bench seats alot of folks get buckets out of other vehicles and bolt them in. I am sure if you search through the site you can find a post or two about what others have used.

Welcome to the sight. Glad to see another mav owner from Oregon. As was earlier said Yellow 75 (Mike) has some great parts, except the Yellow 75 which I now have (LOL).Mark

yeah, the pics will come around eventually, and yes, probably both girl and car, but im not wearing a silly white diaper like that other broad! I have standards, but you all knew that already, i do drive a maverick:evilsmile . thank you so much for all being so friendly & helpful. Im glad to have found ya all online! Can we talk rust damage on the hood? I was thinking i need to replace it because it's pretty rough all the way across, but some, well i guess well say friend, claims i can switch out a comet hood from a 71, i have my manual, and i read it like the bible, but im just not trusting his words....he's not the most believable greasemonkey i've met. My other thought was chopping it, but it just seems more sensible to go ahead and try to put a whole different one on. any thoughts on my skepticism? or any ideas?

:Welcome: I would place an add in the parts wanted section. Maybe someone will have one. I personaly wouldn't put a Mav hood on a Comet or vise versa.
I'm wondering what you ment about the other broad with a diaper... Got a link?

if you want to switch hoods with a comet you also have to switch the grill to match

and the bumper also (to look uniform). I would look for another hood or have yours repaired. "Some" good body guys can do a good job for ya. Hopefully, there's one or two around you.

    ( my :2cents: )
