    I was surprised

I was surprised at how it bothered me -- understanding of course the primary concern is for the loved one in the car -- once I knew she was okay, I was upset about the car being shot -- no tears or anything, just a deep in my gut kind of bummed, you know?

Thanks for the comments and good luck to you getting your car fixed.

    Jim

WELL JAMIE I BOUGHT ANOTHER CAR FOR THE BODY AND HAD A BODYMAN COME AND LOOK AT THEM AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND WHAT HE THOUGHT WOULD BE THE CHEAPEST ROUTE TO TAKE ON IT. SO HE'S GONNA CUT THE TOP & QT. PANEL ON MY PARTS CAR AND PUT THEM ON MY WRECKED CAR. I SEEM TO AGREE THAT IT WOULD BE EASIER THAN TRYING TO SWITCH EVERYTHING OVER. NOT TO MENTION IM GONNA HAVE IT PAINTED THE WAY I WANT (BLACK W/ SILVER STRIPES) AND A TAIL-LIGHT UPGRADE. BUT WHEN I GET IT DONE, AND HOPEFULLY SOON, ILL POST SOME PICS OF THE BEFORE AND AFTER

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. I FELT BAD FOR MY CAR WHEN I SEEN IT BEING PUT UP ON THE WRECKER BUT I WALKED AWAY FROM IT W/O A SCRATCH SO I WAS THANKFUL FOR THAT, AND THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN BOTH SITUATIONS.... I WAS ALRIGHT WHEN I WRECKED AND YOUR DAUGHTER WAS ALRIGHT WHEN SHE WRECKED. THAT'S MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL (y)

    Okay, kid got another car

    Morning,

Just thought I'd update you folks about my kids situation.

She needs a car -- she has a good job and she needs wheels. So, mom and dad went scoutin' and found several nice cars. We helped her, but she paid the most for it. Local Honda dealer checked it out for us and it needs $300 worth of small stuff to be nearly 100%. He said, "this car will easily go to 300,000 miles." It has 171,000 on it now. She loves it. It is a 1991 Honda Accord Lx -- auto everything, power everything, air and cruise too. Nice little car for a kid.

We will put full coverage insurance on this one!

Thanks to everybody who offered kind words.

    Take care,
    Jim

Looks like a good car. Should last a long time. It's not uncommon to see a Honda about like that in the junkyard with almost 500,000 miles on it.

I carpool with a guy that has a '94 Accord with near 300,000. Actually it's about 298,000. He told me he hasn't even put a clutch in yet ( it gets a lot of highway miles ). Anyway, I sent you another PM.
