    Hello,

If you have followed my recent saga, I now have a 1974 Mercury Comet that I am parting out. Two near sales fell through, so here goes nothing!

The car is orange in color and has damage to the right front quarter panel and the passenger door. My daughter hit a parked truck while she was traveling at about 25 mph.

Nothing else on the car is damaged. I have pics of when we bought it showing its supreme condition. I have one set of pics showing the damage; I am having the car moved this week, then I can get pics of all of the car and any specific parts you might be interested in.

Of special note, we just put four new tires on it -- one of them died in the accident; also, we have the origional gas cap that came with the car, and we have all origional documentation as well. It has the 250 c.i. motor with a four speed automatic; my father in law recently tuned the car up, including new carb guts and a new windshield.

So, let the parting out begin!

    Jim

Man, this sucks. That was such a nice car. :( I'd be intrested in the rear quarter panels and tail light panel. Let me know what you would want for them. Shipping will probably be rough, but it's one of those things...

    Okay, getting details now

    Hello again!

Thanks for the inquiries -- the car is now off the tow lot and on a buddy's piece of land. I will shoot pics on Friday or Saturday and get them posted for those asking for details.

I will also get quotes on shipping this stuff.

Question: who is best to ship a large piece of car -- Fedex, UPS?

    Thanks!

    Jim

I've been waiting for someone to respond to my question -- a coworker suggested the shipping company "yellow" as another option.

    Thanks for the input!
