I can't help you with either, but if you are looking to sell the factory shifter and steering wheel once you find replacements, I may be interested.
    Wood wheels aren't tacky IMO.

I have the Hurst Pro- Matic 2 shifter and it works great w/ my c4. I also like the look of a wood wheel.

I'm just not a fan of the fat modern wheels on vintage styled cars. Don't care for 18in. and up wheels either-in general-some look good with 18's, nothing beyond that.

that MOMO wheel looks a little too "import tuner" to me. you should go more along the style littleredtoy posted. I like the 3 spoke ones just like that but along each spoke there are 3 holes, im sure you guys know what i mean. i look for a pic later.

I ran a Megashifter and didn't care for it.
I also ran a Z-Gate and the thing was bulletproof!
It costs less, so it has a cheezy plastic shift handle, but 20 bux will buy a nice replacement handle. I put a nice one on mine.
Don't know exactly what the difference is between the Mega and Star.
I thought the Star was a pure ratchet shifter compared to the semi-ratchet design of the Mega and Z-Gate. I am not sure though.

    Edit: Read the B&M site.
The Mega and Z-Gate are "Gate shifters"
They have gates that allow shifting one gear at a time without the possibility of shifting more than one gear at a time.
Then the "Ratchet", which is self explanitory.
Then the "Detent shifter"... The Starshifter is a detent shifter and their site says "detent shifters are NOT FOR RACING".

If you remove your factory shifter you'll have a big hole in the transmission tunnel (and carpet), the shifter mounts to a plate that is screwed to the tunnel and sits up a bit, most aftermarket shifters are cable operated and don't mount the same as the factory one.

You have to screw it to the floor.
All the ones I have had used 3 sheet metal screws.
The bottom housing is much larger than the shifter mechanism that it covers, and would cover the hole from the stock shifter.
I would probably slot an old piece of carpet to wrap the shift cable and cover the hole under the shifter housing... Just to insulate and keep dust and such from getting in the car under the housing.

The B&M Star Shifter is a dual gate shifter. That means that it works like a normal shifter and a ratchet shifter. You use it as a normal shifter under normal driving and when you want to go ratchet you go all the way to 1st gear, pull up on the lock and pull the handle all the way back. Then it is in ratchet mode, then all you have to do is push the shifter forward once for 2nd gear and once again for 3rd. Then you have to pull up on the handle and push it forward to put it back in normal operation and N. Then it will work like a normal shifter again.

A B&M Mega Shifter is a semi ratchet shifter P, R, N work like a normal shifter and 3rd, 2nd, and 1st work as a ratchet shifter. I have used Megs Shifters ro about 15 years and have never missed a gear and have never broken one. Only melted a cable one time but that was my fault.

    Hope this helps.
    Don

Grant has some nice wheels both wood and other coverings. You can customize the wheel with a "GT" horn insert.

I live just south of you, we should get together sometime. I have access to lots of parts and information.

    Send me a PM.
