    two funny points...
First, that Mav must have had 3.23's in it, because it sounded great, and went nowhere.
Second, any track that is playing Beastie Boys "Girls" in the background has got to be a fun track!

I bet that import had alot more invested,to run 7:51to a domestic 7:54 or what rver it was.Not a streetabl car either.

    Who is really the winner?

When the other guy went home, he still had a stupid Honda with one headlight!

Don't put down the imports, we are all friends! V8's have been slipping the past 15 years, and the small displacement/boosted /more effecient combos have caught up. You can put an import together, cheaply. Heck, you can put a low 12 sec Honda, n/a, together about as cheap as you can a low 12 sec n/a domestic.

It all comes down to hp/lb.

Or he went out to the local street racing spot, begged a car or two, and spanked 3 or 4 domestics who thought that their big and loud motors had to equate to a faster car than a car with half the cylinders...

Yeah, at about $300 a race, he probably went home with about $1200 more than he started the night.

I have seen that happen soooooooo many times here in So-Cal. Sounds like a winner to me.

Lets say it all together: "Imports Run" :bananaman

yeah, but most of them suck. Specially if they're FWD cars, my brother is getting a 2007 Honda Civic Si, he says it's awesome and blah blah, 8000 rpms, crap and a half, bleh. He wanted a Mustang GT, but he was scared about the mileage. I hope he doesn't regret about it.

I've driven 2 FWD cars and I hate the feeling of them, I get dizzy, is this normal?

Maybe my brain loves the mav too much and gets jealous when I drive anything else hehe

My comment had nothing to do with "putting down imports" as a blanket statement. Just look at that crappy looking little car with one headlight crudely removed for an air intake. It's just a stupid looking car.........whatever name might be on it!

To each, his own. You'll never find one of those in my garage. Heck, Ive owned 35 cars so far and all of them have been Fords. I also have yet to own a wrong-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicle. By some miracle I have been able to survive the snow belt of the midwest for 45 years without this great invention.

This video has allready been posted once before, and it ended up being a honda/import flame thread. Lets not have it like this again. I just think its complete BS that no one on here bashes anything other than hondas, you can mention one word about a honda and LOOK OUT! But someone can post up a mav with a chevy motor in it and it dosent catch all that much crap. I currently own three Hondas, one just like the one in the video, and I dont appreciate anyone talking bad about the car I choose as a daily driver. So save all your crap talk about hondas/imports for some other forum (Maybe there is a flame/I hate imports forum out there for you). I love mavericks but I dont want to have to come to this site and see junk like this too, it shouldnt have to be this way.

    (1) If your comments are directed towards me, I think you are overly sensitive. I tried to make a point that it was a crude looking car, period.

    (2) Do all of your Hondas have the rf head light and turn signal removed, and have the front tires hanging outside the front wheel wells? If not, they are not just like the one in the video! If they are, you are a menace to other drivers.

    (3) I would be all over anyone who put a Chevy in a Maverick, or any other Ford for that matter.
