TKlein, First of all welcome to the board fellow Oregonian:D My father and his side of my family all live in the Tigard/Sherwood area. Been a few years since I've been there.

Anyways, Maverick Man on this board makes what is known as the best cowl hood available, and if it was the only hood available it would still be a great hood. It cost more than others but it fits right out of the box where as there are alot of horor stories about other hoods out there. If you don't care how it looks fitment wise or you want to spend alot after you get the hood there are a few available but I would go with his. JMO.

Get in touch w/ Maverick Man. Seriously, the other stuff out there is junk. You will pay a bit more, but it will fit! You do want it to fit, don't you?

The one they speak of is carbon fiber.
    Much better than fiberglass.
It takes no body work, just bolt on.
Then you can just drive it as-is and save up your money to get it painted later.
The carbon fiber looks good without paint.
    So in the end:
You look good until you can afford the paint
    &
You only need the body shop for paint, not all the trimming and fitting needed for fiberglass.
So you save dough in the long run.
CF is also MUCH MUCH stronger than FG.

However, if you want glass, which is up to you...

US Body has the best reputation.
    Unlimited has the worst.
I know nothing about Showcars myself.
Crites doesn't have a cowl type that I know of, but they have flat and Grabber.
Crites has the best rep of all, but no cowl, like I said.
    Good luck
